Access the Explore area in ePortfolio


Access the Explore area

Click Explore in the ePortfolio Areas panel.
The Explore area of ePortfolio manages the items others have shared with you. The Users tab lets you search for items by the user's First Name or Last Name. The Items tab lets you search for items by the item's NameDescriptionTagsTypeLast Edited date or Last Accessed date.
Tip  Set your dashboard display options to notify you when others send you an invite.

Sharing Presentation in the ePortfolio via Sharing

To share a Presentation with another user in D2L:

1. Click on "Presentation" in the left-hand menu

2. Select the key icon or "Sharing" icon to the right of the name of the Presentation

3. To share with other D2L users, click on [Add Users and Groups] under the "Presentation Sharing List" field.

4.  Click on the "Users" tab and begin typing in the first name of the users with whom you'd like to share your item.  Click on the name of the appropriate user.

5.  In the "Assign Permissions" field, set the appropriate permissions and click [Add].

6.  Once the user appears below the "Presentations Sharing List" field, click [Done].

NOTE: Please do *not* click [Done and Send Invite]! 

The user with whom you are sharing will now see your name in the "Explore" area of their ePortfolio

"Shared Items" and "Explore" links in the ePortfolio

Clicking on Shared Items allows you to see items that you've shared. You can look at these items either by the "Users" with whom you've shared the items, or by the "Items" that you've shared with others.

Clicking on Explore allows you to see items that have been shared with you. You can look at these items either by the "Users" who have shared the items, or by the "Items" that have been shared.
